Creating your bathroom experience all starts here.

When you're decorating your bathroom there are many important purchasing descions you will make. Decsions such as which wallpaper to buy and what toilet paper holder to use. However, the most important descion you will make is which tub and bathroom sink to purchase. These will become the showpieces of your bathroom, the essentials that define how your bathroom looks and feels. Choosing the tub and bathroom sink that is right for you can be tough decsion. With a purchase this big and important, you want it to be the right one. Clawfoot Alley understands and wants to help you make the best purchase for your bathroom.

The first very important thing to remember before purchasing is to measure. That cannot be emphasized enough. Measure the width of your doors - you don't want to purchase a tub or sink that won't fit into your bathroom! You should also know the measurement of your centers, which is the distance between the source pipes that are in your bathroom (measuring from the center of each pipe, thus the name "centers") - when purchasing tubs and sinks you will need to purchase them with corresponding center measurements. Also know the measurements of the space you have available for your tub and/or bathroom sink. When you're considering a purchase, go into your bathroom with your tape measure and measure out the dimensions of the tub/sink you are interested in. This will help you decide if the size is right for you and your space. For tubs verify that your floor can handle the weight- not just of the tub but of the tub when its filled and being used.

Remember that after you buy a tub that you'll need somewhere to put your soap! And a curtain if you want to install a shower! Be sure to look through our collection of clawfoot tub accessories where you'll find these products and much much more.
